Hibernating ICT Infrastructure During Rainy Days
نویسنده
چکیده
With the abundance of ready resources during economy surplus, many SMEs are embarking on massive but glaring capital expenditure. However, during the stormy period, the hostility of the traditional calm greenfield becomes a battlefield between various departments competing for the available scarce. With the industry inundated with so many techno evangelists promoting various enablers and inhibitors targeted mainly for larger network, the challenge of having the right balance scorecard for competitive barebones infrastructure specification have made SMEs rotting. The ITIL, TOGAF and FEA framework developed in 1980s are more enterprise focus, much generalized and it is not focused on Malaysia’s SME under unstable economic conditions. The creation of a new specialised framework in this research will therefore help to address the deficiency in the coordination of available resource, benchmark ICT specification to make better decision in uncertain times and energize SMEs competitiveness.

Analysis of the Spell of Rainy Days in Lake Urmia Basin using Markov Chain Model
In this study, the Frequency and the spell of rainy days was analyzed in Lake Uremia Basin using Markov chain model. For this purpose, the daily precipitation data of 7 synoptic stations in Lake Uremia basin were used for the period 1995- 2014. The daily precipitation data at each station were classified into the wet and dry state and the fitness of first order Markov chain on data series was e...

Hypothermia is commonly used to restrict organ damage during preservation of tissue, but does not offer complete protection. Organ damage after reperfusion/rewarming is amongst others caused by an impairment of vascular properties, particularly endothelium-dependent vasodilatation. We hypothesized that hibernating small animals, which frequently cycle through periods of deep cooling (torpor) an...
